About Us

Ohana Pet Care is owned and operated by Caroline and Tyler Hise. They share their home with their growing family and their beloved animals — three dogs (Dixie, Willow, and Steeveen), three cats (Makani, Pierre, and Bootsie), and two horses (Rhea and Daisy). Clyde, their sweet and spoiled outdoor barn cat, will likely be the first to greet you upon arrival! Caroline and Tyler welcomed their son, Kai, in 2025, and already developed a love for animals. He’s quickly become part of the daily joy and inspiration behind their family-run business.

Caroline has always had a deep love for animals. Growing up in Northern Virginia, she cared for neighborhood pets from a young age. She adopted Dixie as a teenager and, at 16, purchased her first horse after years of lessons and training. Tyler, originally from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, was raised around cats, dogs, and farm animals before moving to Virginia at age 11. Caroline and Tyler met in high school, where Tyler quickly joined her in pet sitting. Together, they expanded their clientele and service area. As they got older, they knew they wanted to build a business together that would support them and their growing family.

Their vision came to life when they opened Ohana Pet Care! The word “Ohana,” meaning “family” in Hawaiian, perfectly reflects their business philosophy. Caroline and Tyler are dedicated to treating every pet like a cherished member of their own family.
